Rev. Jody James Lucero, Pastor

Pastor Lucero, born and raised in southern California, was married to his wife Amanda in 2000.  God has blessed them with three children -- Owen (7), Ayva (6) and Monica (4).   They have lived in Iowa since the summer of 2004.

After obtaining a B. A. from Pepperdine University in 1999,  and teaching English at a Christian school for a year, Rev. Lucero prepared for the ministry at Westminster Seminary California, from which he received a Master of Divinity in 2004.   Originally from broadly evangelical churches, Jody and Amanda became Reformed largely through the teaching of Rev. Kim Riddlebarger, Rev. Michael Horton, and Mr. Ken Samples at Christ Reformed Church in Anaheim, California.   Jody has been serving Providence Reformed Church since its days as a church plant in August 2004.  He was ordained at Covenant Reformed Church in Pella, Iowa, in 2006 by Rev. Daniel Hyde and Rev. Patrick Edouard.
